The Sapphire Heist (Jewel 2)

The Sapphire Heist

(This review is based on the ARC provided by the publisher via Net Galley)

I am a fan of Lauren Blakely, so I was looking forward to reading The Sapphire Heist  as it was something different from my usual type of books.  Lauren delivered on the suspense, thrill and romance and her writing was flawless. The story was well conceived and kept us getting throughout the book. Steph and Jake were fun characters who had their personal flaws and I enjoyed how it took them time to trust each other completely. The chemistry and sex between both the characters were steamy and off the charts, which is always expected from Lauren's books. The secondary characters were also well developed and helped maintain the suspense throughout the entire book.  Looking forward to my next Lauren Blakely book.

Rating: 3.5/5

Plot

After a hot night of great sex,  Steph Anderson realizes that her diamond has been stolen and suspects her bedroom partner and bounty hunter Jake Harlowe. While fighting her attraction to Jake and trying to prove her step fathers innocence, Steph finds out that someone other than her and Jake are after the diamonds.

In order to find out the truth Jake and Steph have to team up for one final heist, but this time they have to trust each other with something more precious than the diamonds, their hearts.
