Royal Player (All Stars #1)

Royal Player

I am a huge fan of the sport romance genre and even though I am not a lover of tennis I had enjoyed this book. It was my first time reading a book by Katie Mccoy and I really enjoyed her dual point of view style of writing. Charlie's character was not your typical spoiled prince as he wanted to make a name for himself away from his royal blood and I enjoyed that, however there were times when he was a hypocrite for not listening to Emmy even though he had a bad reputation. Emmy's character was strong and independent and I enjoyed that she was following her dreams. The chemistry between Emmy and Charlie was good, but not spectacular. Overall this was a good sports read with a bit of royalty thrown in.

Rating: 3/5

Plot

Charlie Davenport is the bad boy in British tennis as well as British royalty. He is a beast on the tennis courts and in in bed if the tabloids are to be believed. When Emmy mistakenly steps into Charlie's Wimbledon dressing room  and catches a glimpse of him , she can see what all the girls are raving about.

Emmy knows better than to get involved with a bad boy like Charlie. But now Charlie is in a winning streak and believes that Emmy's kiss is his good luck charm. Suddenly Emmy has the paparazzi following her and exes coming out of the woodwork.

Emmy is in over her head and even worse she is falling in love with the prince. Can this American girl win her Prince Charming or will they both crash out of the championship in flames.
